Dindigul: Four persons, including the mother of the girl, whose husband was brutally hacked to death in full public view in a suspected case of honour killing in Tirupur district were arrested yesterday, the police said.
While one of the accused was arrested at Pattiveeranapatti village, the other three were held at Vaduthukulam hamlet, both falling in Tirupur district, they said. Barring the name of one Manikandan, the names of others arrested were not known.

Manikandan had come with the father of the girl, who surrendered before a Judicial Magistrate at Nilakottai, but had opted to stay at Pattiveeranpatti.
Police arrested him on getting information that he was at the village and took him to Udumalapettai, the place of attack.
