The Rolls-Royce company and Navnit Motors are inviting the media for a preview of the, 'Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe' at the Four Seasons Hotel in Mahalaxmi.
This two-door luxury offering, "will be in the showroom shortly, but I cannot specify when, exactly," says a spokesperson.
While more details are to be revealed today afternoon, the car's biggest standout feature, according to reports, is its rear-hinged doors designed to make entering the rear bench seat easier.
Modern touches include an optional camera, below the front numberplate. When pulling out of a side road or parking, it transmits a split-screen view of the road ahead.
In the rear, another camera has been fitted beneath the boot-lid handle, to help while reversing.
At a time when car dealers everywhere are cutting production, it is interesting to hear of a car launch here, and see who of the jet set here buys the Rolls Royce Phantom.
Another obvious interest factor would be the price in Indian rupees which would be known today.
But with the Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe price starting at 364,250 Euros in Europe (Rs 2.28 crore) and $400,000 (Rs 2 crore) in the USA exclusive of tax and delivery charges, one can understand the Phantom name most can only dream about buying this one.
