A cockpit and two wings? Is it still a car? One cannot miss the latest showstopper from Mercedes-Benz, the AMG Desert Gold, being showcased at the 10th Auto Expo.

Wilfried Aulbur, Mercedes-Benz India managing director and chief executive, said the AMG Desert Gold, priced at nearly Rs 2 crore, will be launched in India after slight modifications. "Currently, we are just presenting it to our customers. The right-hand drive version of this vehicle is not available here; as soon as it is ready, it will come to India," said Aulbur.

Camaro: You may have ogled at the Camaro in the movie Transformer, but now is the chance to see and feel it for real. At the Auto Expo, General Motors is showcasing the 2010 Camaro at its pavilion. The SS variant of the Camaro hammers the tarmac with a whopping 6.2-litre V8 engine that produces 462 bhp and 62 kgm of torque.

Audi Sportback concept: The technology of the Audi Sportback concept is markedly futuristic. With its coupe-like silhouette and large rear hatch, the 4.95-m long, 1.93-m wide and only 1.40-m high vehicle is boldly progressive for the luxury class. The car is expected to achieve a fuel consumption of 5.9 litre of diesel per 100 km.
