Since Manoj Bajpayee walked out of his film, 'Yaara', director Tigmanshu Dhulia is playing the role himself
Tigmanshu Dhulia has replaced Manoj Bajpayee in his own directorial venture, 'Yaara'. The film, that also stars Irrfan, will go on the floors in June.

Tigmanshu tells hitlist, “Yes, I will be playing the role that Manoj was supposed to do. We wanted him to be a part of the film, but he couldn’t give us his dates. So now I will essay that role.”
Interestingly, this was going to be Manoj and Irrfan’s first celluloid outing together after a gap of around 14 years. But it looks like the two won’t be teaming up anytime soon.
Tigmanshu, on the other hand, has quite a few acting assignments on his plate. He plays Shammi Kapoor’s character in the remake of Hero. This apart, he also has a pivotal role to play in filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s TV series that stars Amitabh Bachchan.
His film, Yaara, is a period drama that traces the story of two friends from 1979 to 2014. And while Manoj Bajpayee has missed an opportunity to star in the film, some of the other names likely to star in this film are Vidyut Jamwal, Amit Sadh and Shruti Haasan. The film will be shot in several locations such as Delhi, Nepal, and Uttarakhand, and Georgia.
