A 3-year-old US boy miraculously escaped death after accidently shooting himself in the head
The shooting happened at the toddler’s home, which is located at 1210 Woodcrest Drive in Manchester, at around 7 p.m., after his aunt left a loaded .380 handgun on a bathroom counter, the New York Daily News reported.
According to WSMV-TV, the toddler grabbed the gun and shot himself in the head, while his sister was filling the bathtub for him.

His sister told investigators that she saw her little brother playing with the firearm, but thought it was one of his toy guns.
Detectives told the publication that the bullet passed through the child’s skull and exited.
Later, the boy was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where doctors are calling him “the luckiest kid on earth” and are claiming that the little boy is expected to survive.
Meanwhile, investigators have ruled the shooting as accidental and that the child’s parents will not be charged.
However, investigators are planning to meet with the District Attorney on Monday to determine if charges should be filed against the aunt.u00a0
