Orissa youth on bail on drug trafficking charges arrested again for peddling marijuana

Inose Kumar (25) from Orissa, who is out on bail for trafficking in banned substances, was caught by city police again for supplying marijuana yesterday. He was earlier arrested for selling cocaine with his associate Bhima.
Kumar, who hails from Gajapati district of Orissa is living in Bangalore since 2005.

He allegedly used parthenium leaves that look like marijuana to gullible college students and techies who thought they were buying the real stuff. He sold marijuana in prestigious colleges like Dayanand Sagar College of Banashankari, Bangalore Medical College of KR Road and some IT companies.

Inose allegedly bought marijuana in Orissa and brought it to Bangalore by train in jute bags. The bags were kept in a general coach, while he traveled by sleeper coach. He would post some boys to keep watch on the drug that was sold at 20 times its cost.u00a0

In 2008, Inose and his friend Bhima were caught by KR Puram police selling banned drugs. After spending some days in jail they were released on bail. After Inose was arrested, the police arrested a man from Hosakote followed by more arrests of people identified as Ram Kumar, Kasipati Nayak and Pradeep Nayak.

Police sources said primary investigations indicate that Inose may also be involved in trafficking women.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (CCB) Lakshman said, "Inose and his friend Bhima are involved in many anti-social activities. This time, we caught them in the Prashanti train, which comes from Bhubaneshwar. Along with Inose, we also arrested his associates. A case has been filed against them at the Yelahanka Police Station."
