A 17-year oldu00a0boy reportedly committed suicide by throwing himself in front of a running train near Mundhwa on Tuesday. His body was discovered yesterday at 5.30 pm.
The deceased was identified as Chetan Bhalerao, a student of Sarthi school in Keshav Nagar. Chetan's father Sunil had lodged a missing person's complaint on Tuesday at the Mundhwa police station when Sunil did not return to home after school.
Sunil had even enquired with the principal of the school, who told him that Chetan was speaking to a girl in school and had been reprimanded over this by teachers and the uncle of the girl.
Chetan had left the school premises at 5.30 pm.
An FIR was later lodged against the principal and two teachers. Senior Police Inspector Devidas Patil is investigating the case.
