The Indo-Chinese project featuring Aamir Khan was apparently, initially offered to Saif Ali Khan
It has been reported that Aamir Khan is collaborating with Jackie Chan on an Indo-Chinese production and now the latest buzz is that the project was initially offered to Saif Ali Khan. The makers had apparently earlier tried approaching Saif, but his company did not take it seriously back then.

Later, the makers approached Aamir and he agreed to do the project. The duo will work together in Kung Fu Yoga which will highlight the USPs of the two nations.
This project is part of the three-film agreement signed between the two countries during President Xi Jinping’s visit to India last year. Looking at the growing popularity of Bollywood films in China, the agreement is meant to help both nations.
While Saif Ali Khan remained unavailable for comment a source close to him said, “Yes, apparently Saif was offered the film, but his company didn’t show much interest in the project. Two months later the makers approached Aamir for the same film to which he said yes.”
