A Crime Branch official said, “Along with the accused, we have to find whether others were involved in the murder case because it is unlikely for one person to commit such a crime single-handedly and then destroy all the evidence.”
The police had found Sandhya’s body in a highly decomposed state within a short span of her death, which raised their suspicion that the accused may have used chemicals to destroy the body. Cops are also verifying the fact that nobody saw the accused dumping Sandhya’s body in the bushes, considering that the area is usually buzzing with people.
As part of their investigation, cops would be searching Raghuveer’s NRI Colony residence as they feel that the cold-blooded murder must have been done behind closed doors. When Raghuveer’s friend Shreya was called in to give her statement, she claimed it was Raghuveer who paid for their drugs and saw a lot of cash in his wallet after Sandhya went missing.u00a0
