A person who has dedicated his life for the cause of the environment will be honored with the Vasundhara Sanman. The awards consist of a memento, citation, shawl, shreefal, and gift.
Three Vasundhara Mitra awards will be presented for three categories -- activism, film making and organisation.
Delegates will get to visit the local nature hotspots and gather information about trees, birds, mammals, flowers and historical structures. Sanctuary Asia's photographs will be the special highlight of the festival. And this year there will be an exhibition of eco-friendly products as well.
Special audio-visual lectures will be arranged during the festival where current issues will be discussed. Books related to environment, wildlife, energy, air and water will also be exhibited. The delegates will have to write a 20-word slogan and idea during the festival. Five of the best slogans and ideas will be awarded.
