Where's the enthusiasm?

What's it about: Ninja assassin Raizo (Rain) has been trained by a secret society to be the best in the business. An Interpol researcher Mika Coretti (Naomie Harris) discovers a strange link between the elusive Ninja society and a series of murders taking place around the world. Taking the help of Raizo who's deflected from his clan, she now tries to put the criminals behind bars. However, the cat and mouse game between the group and Mika and Raizo ends in a blood bath that takes the lives of many innocent victims.

What's hot: Those who enjoy blood soaked video games might eat up the action scenes in the movie. CGI studded, the fight scenes between Raizo and the Ozunu Clan are fast and clean. Naomie Harris is easy on the eyes and manages to charm you a couple of times.

What's not: Whoever wrote the dialogues to this film needs to have a Ninja Assasin gunning for his head. Devoid of any originality or creativity they levitate between "I will kill you" to "please forgive me, I will give you twice the money to save me".u00a0 Rain may have trained months for his part, but there's no soul in his performances. Too robotic and routine driven he carries on the task with zero enthusiasm. Taking away the human quality from Raizo and making him seem invincible only enhances the predictability and lifelessness of the plot.

What to do: Watch the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles instead who are funny, witty and can kick some real butt!
