Shahid Kapoor who has been making appearances on various reality shows to promote 'Haider', apparently decided to give rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh's show a miss
Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor have been making appearances on various reality shows to promote their film, Haider. However, on Wednesday, Shahid apparently chose to shoot for only one reality show. Turns out that on the same day, he was supposed to shoot for Honey Singh’s reality show as well, but Shahid apparently decided to give it a miss.

A source says, “Shahid had agreed to come on Honey’s show. It was decided that Shraddha, Shahid and Vishal Bharadwaj will be on the show and a few things had been planned accordingly. But three days ago, he told us that he won’t be able to attend the shoot because of some personal reason.”
A unit member says that on the day of the shoot, the cameras were supposed to roll at 3.30pm but things got delayed. “Vishal joined the shoot at 6pm and Shraddha reached only at 8.30pm, by which time we had finished shooting for half the show. She did not speak to the media either, but she made up for her delay by singing a song and interacting personally with everyone. What was surprising was that Shahid was absent despite the fact that he had shot for another reality show on the same day in the morning.”
Shahid’s spokesperson said, “The film’s marketing team has been in touch with the team from Honey’s reality show. It was a strategic decision to not have both actors on the show.”
On the other hand, Shraddha’s spokesperson said that since shooting for an earlier TV show got over late, the shoot for Honey’s show too was delayed. “Shraddha simply followed the marketing team’s instructions,” said the spokesperson.
Honey Singh, who is travelling with the Happy New Year team as part of their world tour, had to take a 12 hour-flight back to Mumbai to shoot for his show.

A source says, “Honey was visibly tired but he was keen to complete the shoot on Wednesday, since he is supposed to fly back and join the HNY team for another performance. In fact, so fatigued was he that we had to call a doctor to check on his health. But he insisted on continuing with the shoot. Looks like he will have to fly in again next week for his show.”
Honey Singh remained unavailable for comment.
