She was kidnapped from inside Delhi High Court on November 22
Soni Singh (20), who was allegedly kidnapped from inside the premises of Delhi High Court a few days ago, has been rescued by cops. An FIR of her kidnapping was lodged by her husband Vinay Kumar. But now she has been sent to a mental hospital for check-up.
"Soni is behaving like a crazy person. She was produced before the court but due to her demeanour she has been sent to the Institute of Human Behaviour & Allied Sciences (IHBAS) for check-up," said a police source.
However, cops did not disclose Soni's whereabouts in the last few days. Speaking to MiD DAY, Vinay, the husband, said that police is trying to frame him in a false case.
"Cops said that Soni is giving a statement against me for beating her up and holding her hostage for months, though no statement was given by her," said Vinay.
He added that the cops are not telling him where they found his wife. "I got a call from the police that my wife has been found and taken to a police station. Later they informed me they she was taken to RML Hospital for the medical check-up. When I met her I found her frightened and mentally disturbed," said Vinay.
He said that police is forcing his wife to give false statement against him to book him in a false case. No local police officials were available to react on the issue.
