A 25-year-old homemaker from Girinagar was molested at knife-point by her husband's friend, in front of her daughter.
The victim Radha (name changed) has approached the Hanumanthnagar police and filed a complaint against Raghavendra and four of his associates who were with him.u00a0
In her complaint, Radha said that Raghavendra alias Kadale was a friend of her husband, a labourer. Kadale would come home often and hang around, often having tea and meals with her husband, Radha told the police.
According to her, Kadale used to unnecessarily interfere in their family matters and would often instigate her husband to abuse her.
Of late, she had several arguments with her husband and Kadale over the issue, she said.u00a0u00a0 She alleged that Kadale was angered by her reaction. He intercepted her on the road, along with four accomplices, while she was bringing her five-year-old daughter home from school.
Kadale the threatened her at knife-point on the deserted road and molested her. When Radha and her daughter started crying loudly and raised an alarm, the accused took to their heels.
Hanumanthnagar police have taken up the case. Kadale is absconding.
