Lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya who collaborated with him for Ayan Mukherjee’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani tells CS, “Pritam does not believe in schedules or following a system.
He is composing, re-composing and changing tunes at the last minute. Working with him is a huge challenge for a lyricist as you have to rewrite your lines time and again to suit his notes.
And this does not happen for a single song, it’s consistent throughout an album! However, once you get used to his working style, life’s much easier (laughs).”
