Yeddyurappa's fate sealed by number 27?

Astro-numerologists believe that the misfortunate number heralded the former chief minister's downfall, and it all began with the swearing challenge at Dharmasthala shrine.

Number game: Yeddyurappa was born on February 27, 1947, and
interestingly the major set backs he suffered recently, all occurred
on the 27th day of the month. Pic/Ramesh HS

Beginning of end?
Basavaraja Guruji, an astro-numerologist believes that Yeddyurappa should not have daring Kumaraswamy to swear before Lord Manjunatha at the Dharmasthala shrine, when the JD(S) leader accused him of trying to buy his silence on corruption issues.

Kumaraswamy accepted the challenge and they both visited the temple on June 27 this year, but they did not go ahead with the swearing contest. "The swearing drama had its own effect on Yeddyurappa. He should not have dragged Dharmasthala shrine into politics and the swearing amounted to lying and the trouble started from there," said Guruji.

Seconded belief
Aditya Narayana, another numerologist who is advising Yeddyurappa agreed to Guruji's belief. He said, "While the number 27 has adverse effect on Yeddyurappa, the swearing at Dharmasthala has caused him a lot of trouble."
Narayana said he had advised the former CM on some remedial rituals, which Yeddyurappa was following religiously.

Deadly black arts?
Interestingly, it was none other than Narayana who advised Yeddyurappa not to tender his resignation in Ashada, a month considered inauspicious by Hindus, and the former CM resigned on July 31 after it had ended.
Both astrologers observed that Yeddyurappa invited trouble by being over religious and because of his excessive belief in rituals.

"It is good to be religious, but Yeddyurappa is kind of person who does everything advised by anybody. The rituals including black magic have added to his problems. Better he stops consulting too many astrologers," said Guruji. After the swearing farce, Yeddyurappa received a jolt in the form of the Lokayukta report on illegal mining, which was submitted to the government on July 27. The mining report was to be submitted by the Lokayukta at 4 pm, but as destiny would have it, it only happened at 4.05 pm.

Number will decide
Now, the Lokayukta special court has issued summons to him in the land scam case and he is required to appear before the court on August 27. Besides this, the Lokayukta police filed an FIR against him yesterday for involvement in a corruption case relating to awarding the civil works of an irrigation project to a private company.

"We have filed the FIR and if necessary we will call Yeddyurappa for questioning," said Lokayukta Shivaraj Patil.
While the number still refuses to prove otherwise, Guruji did not rule out the possibility of imprisonment for Yeddyurappa because the summons date falls on the 27th. "The number 9 indicates the planet Mars, which has adverse influence on Yeddyurappa. It began from his birth and his fate is that it haunts him," he said.
