Imagine a service that will not only help find travellers en route to the same venue? Carpooling may just have gotten easier, and more manageable, thanks to the UK-based carpool service, Grallo.com that has now begun to offer services in India.
The website allows you to create an event, like ‘Ride to Storm Festival, Coorg’ adding details like starting point and the end point, and then share it with your contacts on social networking profiles like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn or invite people to your event through email.
The website will help you to find people and vice versa, who are looking for a ride to the Storm Festival. And, if there are more like you who couldn’t find a seat in a car to Coorg, Grallo.com, offers to organise a bus ride to the festival, of course, depending if there are enough to fill seats.
There’s one minor glitch, however — sharing an event requires you to add each contact manually (there’s no ‘share with all’ option), which makes the process a little tedious. Nonetheless, it’s a great way to find people to share a journey, and at the same time save on Carbon emissions. But, before you sign-up, read the terms and conditions, carefully, and you won’t be disappointed.
