AT IT TOGETHER: Govinda, Neeraj Vora and Tusshar Kapoor

Apart from directing the Akshaye Khanna-Arshad Warsi starrer Shortcut for Anil Kapoor Productions, Neeraj Vora has just begun work on yet another project with Shree Ashtavinayak.

The film, titled Run Bhola Run, went on floors on Thursday. Vora describes the film penned by him as a thriller comedy. The cast includes Govinda, Tusshar Kapoor, Tanushree Dutta, Upen Patel and Amisha Patel. Music is by Monty (Saawariya).

Says Vora, “Except for an outdoor shoot, Shortcut is complete. My project with Shemaroo for remaking Padosan will happen only by 2008-end. As I had time on hand, I began Run Bhola Run with Shree Ashtavinayak.

Vora claims that the film’s title is not inspired by Tom Tykwer’s much-acclaimed 1998 film Run Lola Run starring Franka Potente. “I have named it after the character of Bhola in the film and used run with it as it sounds nice. Unlike Run Lola Run, Run Bhola Run is a comic caper.”

After Phir Hera Pheri released in June 2006, writer-turned-director Vora had also returned to Gujarati theatre as producer (Putri Devo Bhava and Aankh Micholi). “Apart from my films, I am also planning a new Gujarati play with a fresh team of writers, which will open in March,” adds Vora.
