Govinda's bakri was brought to the Run Bhola Run sets and he prayed to it

Shooting with Govinda can be very entertaining for co-actors. You never know what bizarre goings-on one would get to witness.

On the sets of Run Bhola Run, directed by Neeraj Vora, Chi Chi had a goat drop in to see him.

Prarthana suno, bakri!
A source from the unit reveals, "Govinda was shooting for a song in Run Bhola Run in Film City with Ameesha Patel, Tusshar Kapoor and Celina Jaitly. Suddenly during the lunch break, he rushed out. Apparently, he had called for a bakri (goat) to come on the sets. The bakri was brought in a cab. While unit hands took it out, Govinda prayed to the animal. He did some  puja, chanted mantras and offered some flowers in prayer. The actor believed things were not going well for him and the bizarre ritual would make things better.

Hardly anyone informed
The source adds, "The  puja was done without informing the rest of the cast. "Only a handful of production people were aware of his plans." Govinda's eccentricities do not end here. The source continues, "While shooting for the Kuke Kuke song with Fardeen Khan, Genelia D' Souza, Tusshar Kapoor and Anupam Kher, he kept bunking the shoot on pretense of being ill. If he did come on the sets, it would be very late. Chi Chi told unitwallas that he was facing political threats and he kept falling ill  because of the negative energy around him.

My work speaks for itself
Govinda says, "Who has said this? Please don't write about it and entertain such people. I don't want to comment on gossip. I have been in this line for more than 25 years years and done 148 films. I am used to people talking rubbish about me.  It is better that my work speaks for itself than entertain such stories spread by jealous people. I know who these people are and I will talk about them when the time is right."

'Goat'cha!
During the shooting of Delhi 6, Deepak Dobriyal got so attached to his goat that he gave up eating meat and refused to part with the animal when there was a break in the shooting and stayed back!
