After her disastrous debut in Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar, Nargis Fakhri was yet to bag another film project for a long time. She was not just criticised for her lack of acting skills but also her dialogue delivery. Until of course Shoojit Sircar’s next happened to her. However, on a bright note for Nargis, her director feels pretty confident of her acting chops in his next. The starlet has been paired opposite John Abraham in the film.

Says Shoojit, “While I was casting for the film I was exploring several options. When I met Nargis, my search came to an end. I’m actually quite overconfident about her in my film. She is going to surprise people. It’s a tailor-made role for her.” The actress is said to be essaying a foreign journalist and has apparently even attended several workshops to get her act right.
