One of the biggest reasons, is the fact that it allows Facebook users to access different applications on its web space, through one
log in. This convenience factor has increased the international networking site’s popularity.

And now, Nautanki.tv becomes the first Indian corporate company to tie up with Facebook.com, the world’s fastest growing social networking platform. This online video media (television) channel has enabled and integrated its application on to Facebook.com. (http://applications.facebook.com/nautankitv).

By virtue of the tie-up, the Nautanki.tv application becomes available on Facebook, and like all other applications, it can be shared, forwarded etc.

This marks the migration of Nautanki.tv from being just another Indian online television to a complete global-reach platform. Within a short span of time, the application has got about 500 active users. Nautanki.tv now offers direct access to Indian audiences who are members of Facebook, based on age groups, location and interests, to advertisers.

Recent trends have indicated that a larger chunk of advertisers in the online space, are looking at better segmentation and demographics of the user.

Explaining the strategy, Sunil R Nair, CEO and co-founder, Nautanki.tv said, “The Facebook application is just one of the first in a series of integrations that Nautanki.tv has planned with online
communities.”

Facebook opened up its platform a few months ago, creating the Facebook economy, where intelligent usage of the demographically classified users fetches huge returns. Included in the 10 hottest start-ups of the year by Business Today, Nautanki.tv is in the process of creating a suite of 10 different applications that would soon be available on Facebook.

People will be able to earn points and rewards for watching the content on Nautanki.tv feeds via their Facebook profile pages. What’s more, Nautanki.tv users will also be able to cash in on their own traffic once the application reaches a critical mass.

Nautanki.tv is the only online TV channel in South Asia which has self-produced, as well as user generated content.
