Ram Gopal Varma getting a taste of 'Satya'
Bollywood director Subhash Ghai and film producer Ram Gopal Varma were topmost in the list of 10 film personalities who have received threats from the underworld just before their forthcoming releases. "The two blockbusters Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega and Yaadein which are about to hit city theatres caught the underworld's attention ever since their trailers appeared on television," sources revealed.
Sources further added that Subhash Ghai, the director of Yaadein, and Ram Gopal Varma, the producer of Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, have been receiving threatening calls and were given police security.
With the recent crackdown on the murderers of Ajit Dewani, secretary to leading actors Aftab Shivdasani and Manisha Koirala, Mumbai Police Commissioner M N Singh, addressing the press, said, "This is again a strict warning to those film personalities who are in touch with underworld gangs. Stringent action will be taken by the police with those who have underworld connections."

was even asked to produce a film on their behalf.
Dewani posed as a co-producer along with producer Bobby Anand. They also signed up Aftab Shivdasani for the film, the muhurat of which took place last year.
Immediately after the muhurat, Dewani began to contact Chhota Shakeel, a move that was disliked by rival gangster Abu Saleem who targeted Dewani.
The Anti Extortion Cell (North West region) sleuths-inspectors Pradeep Sharma and Arun Borude, assistant inspectors Prakash Bhandary, Ashok Borkar and police sub-inspectors Daya Nayak, Sachin Waze and Sanjeev Gavde under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Pradeep Sawant - succeeded in apprehending Nizam Abdul Rauf Khan, Upendra Satyanarayan Singh and Kallu Vijayandranath Singh from Mumbai.
Meanwhile, the police has sent a team of officers to Varanasi where four of their associates could be holed up.
