The Shiv Sena-Shah Rukh Khan controversy may have settled down, but the makers of My Name is Khan and the Mumbai police are not taking any chances. At a private screening at Famous studio in Mahalaxmi last night, Mumbai Police commissioner D Sivanandan, who had come to watch the show, said the police were still on guard.

Her screening at the same venue on Sunday night was also attended by VIPs like industrialist Kumarmangalam Birla and Rural Development Minister Jayant Patil.
The film's director and producer Karan Johar made an appearance at last night's screening, but did not watch the movie.

The meeting is to be held to decide the security at places where there are chances of an attack. Said Sivanandan, "We will provide security to all the theatres, if needed."

At around 10.30 pm, the cops posted at the studio spotted Sena MLA Mohan Rawle and feared an attack.
However, Rawle had come for an interview to a channel's office nearby.
He said, "I've not come here to oppose the movie. I want to say that Shah Rukh should respect Bal Thackeray. He says, 'I share a good relationship with them.' If that is so, he should go meet Balasaheb." | |
