Mansay karo pyar: MNS vice-president Vageesh Saraswat | Party vice-president is releasing an album of love songs on the occasion of Valentine's Day
In a marked departure from their Sena antecedents, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) now seems to be wooing lovers on Valentine's Day.
MNS vice-president Vageesh Saraswat is releasing a CD of love songs to celebrate Valentine's Day.
Hindi album
The Hindi album titled Juloos (which means procession) was shot in a studio near Lokhandwala yesterday.
Saraswat said the album would be released on February 12.
Here is a sneak preview to the lyrics of one of the songs -- "Aankhon se zara pila de madbhari pyar ki wine. You are my... You are my... You are my Valentine".
When asked about the CD, MNS spokesperson Nitin Sardesai said he did not have details about the album, but added that the party was not opposed to Valentine's Day.
Police sources say this is another step in MNS's war against the Shiv Sena, which has always targeted lovers on V-Day. Neelam Gorhe, spokesperson, Shiv Sena, said, "There is no reaction from our side to the MNS bringing out a CD on Valentine's Day." When asked if they had any plans to protest the occasion, she said, "We are busy with My Name Is Khan. Right now, nothing has been decided on Valentine's Day yet."
