At least 11 people have been killed while over 60 others were injured after a massive fire broke out inside a firecracker factory in Madhya Pradesh’s Harda leading to several explosions, and triggering panic among locals in the nearby areas. Addressing the people, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that over 50 ambulances were sent to the spot and Minister Ranvendra Pratap Singh, DG Home and around 400 police officials also went to the accident site. The chief minister also announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 4 lakh for the families of the deceased while the injured will be given free treatment. PM Modi announced that Rs 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased and the injured will be given Rs 50,000.

More than 10 people lost their lives and around 50 sustained injuries following an explosion at an illegal firecracker factory in the Bairagarh locality of Harda district, Madhya Pradesh, on Tuesday morning. A massive fire razed through a seven-storey residential building in Goregaon on Friday. At least seven people were killed while another 51 were injured in the mishap. The fire, which broke out in the wee hours of Friday morning, quickly spread through the multi-story building, trapping residents within. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and those injured in the devastating Goregaon fire incident and declared that an ex-gratia payment of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) would be provided to the next of kin of each deceased victim. Additionally, Rs. 50,000 will be offered to those injured in the mishap to aid in their recovery process.
