Dr. Rao has been actively involved in professional organizations as Treasurer Coimbatore Chapter of ISAR (Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction), held the position of Treasurer for the COVAI OG Society from 2017 to 2019. He has also served as the Organizing Secretary for the Yuva FOGSI (Federation of obstetricians and Gynecologists society of India) South Zone in 2019, Achieved Shan S. Rathnam Young Gynaecologist award 2022 - AOFOG, has been an Organizing Secretary South Zone IAGE (Indian Association of Gynecologists Endoscopists) Conference 2011, Organizing Secretary Star Endogyn IAGE -2019 and the Organizing Secretary of Pride IAGE 2023. He is also a Managing Committee Member National IAGE (Indian Association of Gynecologists Endoscopists) 2022-2024.
He has received several awards throughout his career, including the Best Paper Award at IAGE (Indian Association of Gynecologists Endoscopists) 2010, Dr Siuli Rudra Sinha Award for Laparoscopic Vaginoplasty at AICOG (All India College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) 2015, FOGSI Future Award - Yuva FOGSI South Zone 2019. Dr. Rao's contributed to chapters in various text books of Infertility and Endoscopy and his contributions to the field of Obstetrics and gynecology have been recognized through these accolades.
Dr. Damodar R. Rao has actively contributed to the local society by serving as the Treasurer of the Covai OG Society from 2017 to 2019. He has also been a member of the society for the past 12 years and has conducted Nari Swasthya Pahel, an event focused on women's health check-ups, awareness programs on conditions like PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Disease), Cervical Cancer and Endometriosis, and he is invited as a faculty surgeon in workshops and conferences.
