Leading this shift with his new 3-track project, ISHQ AFFAIRS, independent singer-songwriter Nishant Garg explores the deeper, multi-layered spectrum of Ishq-moving past standard romantic tropes to craft songs rooted in enduring melody and genuine emotional expression.
Designed for listeners who value rich musical craftsmanship, the project brings together independent artistry with celebrated film musicians. A standout highlight is the track Taazgi, featuring rich flute arrangements by acclaimed flautist Paras Nath, best known for his iconic Krishna Theme in OMG: Oh My God! as well as his work alongside Indian music icons such as Jagjit Singh, A.R. Rahman, and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. His playing weaves classical warmth into a modern, cinematic soundscape without compromising its intimacy.
Speaking about his artistic approach and the vision behind the project, Nishant Garg shares:
"I view myself as a Music Expressionist-for me, music is purely a medium to capture and express raw human emotion, not just something playing in the background of a video. With 'ISHQ AFFAIRS', the idea is to explore three distinct chapters of Ishq: the pure passion of desire in 'Behak Jaaye', the timeless warmth of old-school romance in 'Taazgi', and the tender ache of longing in 'O Sajna'."
