The long wait for fans of Surender Mohan Pathak, the undisputed king of Hindi pulp fiction, is finally drawing to a close. His legendary "Vimal" series is set to storm the digital space with the web series Vimal Khanna, premiering on Amazon mx player on May 15. Produced under the banner of the renowned production house "Naam Mein Kya Rakha Hai," with Piyush Dinesh Gupta also serving as the Producer & creative producer for the series, the project is already generating significant buzz for its gritty authenticity.
Producer Piyush Dinesh Gupta, the mastermind behind acclaimed hits like Raktanchal and Shiksha Mandal, recently shared insights into the making of the series, which is based on the novel Maut Ka Khel.
While the series features seasoned performers like Sunny Hinduja in the title role and Isha Talwar as Amrita Das, the casting of the character Shalini stands out as a testament to the producer's vision. True to his reputation for nurturing fresh talent, Piyush is launching newcomer Sonal Singh, whose journey to the screen is as compelling as the series itself.
Sonal, who hails from a small town, embodies the spirit of perseverance. In an industry where thousands arrive with big dreams, few manage to cross the finish line.

Adhering to his commitment to finding the most authentic fit for his stories, Piyush and his team conducted a staggering 1,300 auditions before finalizing Sonal for the role. Her selection highlights Piyush's habit of pushing new voices to the forefront, ensuring that the characters feel lived-in and real.
The ensemble cast also includes veteran Akshay Anand in a pivotal role, alongside Neelu Ji and Pale Ji Mahir, who appears as Bosco.
