Twenty years ago, Ujwal Dyasani started his career configuring a university financial aid system. Today, he holds a published research record of eighteen technical papers and has been named a fellow by five separate professional bodies in the last three years alone, recognition earned entirely through applied contributions to enterprise systems engineering rather than academic theory. The Two-Platform Career
Dyasani's career splits cleanly into two eras. From 2006 to 2010, he worked inside PeopleSoft, first configuring the Student Financials module and leading data migrations, then moving into security architecture and system administration, where he managed permission lists, role-based access, LDAP and Active Directory integration, and PeopleCode customization across HR, Benefits, and Payroll.
From 2010 onward, his career has been built inside Workday, starting with foundational data conversion work and custom module design, moving through five years of integrations, benefits redesign, and reporting work, and culminating, since 2016, in a decade of complex Studio-based integration engineering, performance optimization, and, more recently, AI-assisted automation. Somewhere in the middle, in 2015 and 2016, he also built an entire course-registration system on his own initiative simply because an existing university platform could not scale.
Along the way, the numbers have piled up: more than forty-five Workday integrations designed and implemented; a benefits eligibility redesign that consolidated twenty-three programs into four; a report whose runtime fell from eighteen hours to four minutes; an integration whose runtime fell from three hours to four point six minutes; and a documentation methodology, combining diagrams, plain language, and instructional video, that he has continued to refine for nearly a decade.
