The latest example: a house-wide hunt after four gas burners went missing overnight. What started as a minor domestic puzzle spiralled into one of the season's talked-about moments, with contestants trading theories and suspicion landing, among others, on Niranjan himself.
It's a small incident, but it says something bigger about what he's brought to the show - a personality that doesn't switch off the moment the cameras roll, and doesn't need a script to be watchable.
Fans of Laughtersane will recognise the instinct at play. His content has always come from close observation - of people, habits, and the small frictions of daily life - turned into humour that feels familiar rather than performed. What Bigg Boss is offering audiences now is something different: a look at the person behind the persona.
Niranjan hasn't stayed in "comedian mode" throughout the season. He's shown a more vulnerable side too - issuing a genuine apology after a kitchen-hygiene disagreement, and visibly shaken at the prospect of losing a bond he'd formed inside the house. It's that mix - humour sitting right next to real emotion - that's made his run on the show stand out.
He isn't treating the house as an extension of his online brand. If anything, it looks like the opposite: a more unguarded version of himself than social media usually allows for.
So the gas-burner episode isn't really about pinning down a "culprit." It's a reminder of how quickly ordinary moments turn into storylines the second Niranjan is in the room.
