The Thinking Behind Planets IX
The larger philosophy behind the company is also connected to Goyal's book, Before WHY, There Is WHO. The idea behind the title is straightforward. People often start by asking why this is happening, why their team is not working, why a problem keeps coming back and what they should change. The philosophy suggests asking another question first: who is involved in the situation, and how are they actually operating? How do people make decisions? How do they respond to each other? What happens when different people and working styles come together?
The book introduces this way of thinking, while Planets IX is building the larger Human Intelligence idea around it. For now, the company's first practical application is the Business Pulse Report. At its core, the idea is simple: help founders see things in their business that they may already feel, but have never been able to clearly identify. And with most businesses already having enough dashboards and data, that may be a useful place to start.
