Indian entrepreneurs 2026.
The next chapter of progress belongs to leaders who see opportunity where others see uncertainty. They are building businesses, challenging established ideas, and turning ambition into action across industries and markets. What sets them apart is not simply what they have achieved, but the perspective, conviction, and adaptability they bring to what comes next.
As 2026 unfolds, these influential voices are shaping conversations, driving innovation, and setting new benchmarks in their respective fields. Their stories reflect a changing India and a generation of leaders redefining what is possible.
Here are the visionaries shaping the year ahead.
Ananya Birla, Entrepreneur & Business Leader
Ananya Birla is an entrepreneur, artist, and business leader whose work spans financial services, consumer brands, entertainment, and real estate. She began her entrepreneurial journey at 17 by founding Svatantra Microfin, with a vision to expand access to formal finance for underserved entrepreneurs, particularly women in rural India. The company has since grown into a technology-driven financial institution with a significant presence across India.
Alongside entrepreneurship, Ananya has built a successful career as a musician, becoming one of India's recognised English-language pop artists. Her ability to move between business and music reflects her multidimensional approach to creativity and leadership.
Today, her work extends across multiple sectors, including leadership responsibilities within the Aditya Birla Group. Ananya represents a new generation of Indian entrepreneurs combining business ambition, creativity, and a focus on building ventures with lasting impact.
Anchal Dhanuka, Founder, Little Muffet - India-Born, World-Loved
Anchal Dhanuka dresses children not for the outfit they wear once, but for the one that stays in the family album for forty years.
Since 2013, she has grown Little Muffet into a distinctive name in kids' Indian ethnic wear, a category much of Indian fashion had overlooked. Anchal saw the gap early and decided to build it properly.
A banker by training, she left the sector after becoming a mother and finding little she wanted to dress her own daughter in. What followed was more than a decade of unglamorous, obsessive work: finding colours that photograph beautifully, craftsmanship that can withstand a five-year-old, and fabrics a child can comfortably wear all evening.
Her philosophy is simple: dressed up enough to twirl, comfortable enough to keep twirling.
Gautam Madhavan, Founder & CEO, Xley.ai - Building from India for the World
Gautam Madhavan is an entrepreneur who has spent nearly a decade helping shape India's influencer marketing and creator economy. An early mover in the industry, his companies have worked with and empowered over 150,000 creators and were frontline ecosystem partners during TikTok's rapid growth in India.
Today, Gautam is building Xley, an AI-powered operating system designed to automate how brands discover, evaluate and activate creators at scale. But his ambition goes far beyond India. Gautam wants to build a global creator-economy company from India technology built here, but used by brands and creators around the world.
Over the next decade, his mission is to enable 10 million employment and income opportunities globally as AI, content, social commerce and live commerce converge. For Gautam, the next decade is about proving that India will not only participate in the global creator economy, it can build the infrastructure that powers it.
Akhil Teja, Managing Trustee, River Capital Trust
Akhil Teja is an engineer-turned-bureaucrat-turned-entrepreneur who stitched together 15 years of work across energy, banking, retail and hospitality while sitting in an international MBA classroom at IE Business School, Madrid, into an investment thesis like no other.
He believes India is in a generational, unstoppable economic transition. As global sourcing pivots to India, more than $4 trillion of foreign capital could flow into the Indian economy over the coming decade, much of it into the primary and secondary economies, creating the foundation for the tertiary economy to thrive. His question is not whether capital is coming, but whether India is ready to welcome, direct and compound it effectively.
This conviction led him to create River Capital Trust, to "channel" capital into India's backbone by bringing together seasoned minds from finance, business and policy.
Akhil believes the decade ahead will demand vision, ambition, imagination and perhaps a little bit of crazy. He brings all four.
Peyush Bansal, Co-Founder, Chairman, MD & CEO, Lenskart
Peyush Bansal is the Co-founder, Chairman, Managing Director, and CEO of Lenskart, one of India's leading eyewear companies. After beginning his career at Microsoft, Bansal returned to India and founded Lenskart in 2010 with a vision to make quality eyewear more accessible and convenient for consumers.
What began as an online platform has evolved into a large omnichannel eyewear business, combining technology, physical retail, eye care, and in-house manufacturing. Under Bansal's leadership, Lenskart has expanded beyond India while continuing to focus on affordability, accessibility, and customer experience.
Known for challenging traditional retail models, Bansal has approached eyewear as a technology and consumer experience opportunity rather than simply a product category. His work has helped reshape how millions of consumers discover, purchase, and experience eyewear, establishing Lenskart as one of India's most recognised consumer technology brands.
Pooja Madhavan, Founder & Managing Director, Limelight Lab Grown Diamonds
Pooja Madhavan is the Founder & Managing Director of Limelight Lab Grown Diamonds, India's leading sustainable luxury jewellery brand. A graduate of the London School of Economics with further studies at Imperial College and Harvard Business School, she began her career as an Investment Banker at Barclays Capital, London, before venturing into entrepreneurship.
In 2019, she founded Limelight with a vision to redefine luxury in India by promoting lab grown diamonds as ethical, eco-friendly, and globally competitive alternatives to mined diamonds. With her global exposure, Pooja brought in a rare combination of strategic foresight and brand-building capabilities. Under her leadership, Limelight has become a pioneer in making "Made in India" lab-grown diamonds a part of the mainstream luxury jewellery market, blending sustainability with aspiration.

Amol Bansal, Founder, myGold
Amol Bansal is the Founder of myGold, a company building India's gold activation infrastructure. A third-generation jeweller with nearly three decades in the gems and jewellery industry, his work addresses a national contradiction: India holds close to 35,000 tonnes of gold in its homes, temples and institutions, yet imports 800-900 tonnes every year, drawing down foreign exchange the country needs elsewhere.
myGold exists to close that gap giving every gold holder, from a single household to a national temple trust, a way to put idle gold to work, whether by leasing it or selling it into the domestic supply chain. The gold reaches India's jewellers and manufacturers instead of arriving from abroad.
Amol Bansal's conviction is that activation, not accumulation, is India's next economic step, an Atmanirbhar Bharat that becomes sone ki chidiya again by using the gold it already owns, rather than buying more.
Ritesh Agarwal, Founder & Group CEO, PRISM
Ritesh Agarwal is the Founder and Group CEO of PRISM, the parent company of OYO, and one of India's most prominent technology entrepreneurs. His entrepreneurial idea emerged from his travels across India, where he noticed the inconsistency in quality and experience across affordable hotels and guest houses.
He founded OYO at a remarkably young age, building a technology-led platform designed to bring greater standardisation and efficiency to the fragmented hospitality industry. What began as a young entrepreneur's attempt to solve a local problem eventually developed into a global hospitality technology business with operations across multiple international markets.
Agarwal's approach to entrepreneurship has consistently centred on identifying inefficiencies in traditional industries and using technology to create scalable solutions. His story stands out not simply because of the scale he achieved at a young age, but because of his ability to identify an overlooked problem and build an entirely new model around it.
