For Indian consumers planning to buy furniture, mattresses, appliances or other big-ticket products, this festive season could be a good time to make that purchase.
With raw material, manufacturing and logistics costs putting pressure on businesses, some brands may revisit their prices once the festive season ends. For consumers, that could mean paying more for the same products in the coming months.
Priyanka Salot, Co-founder of The Sleep Company, says, "Festive offers give consumers a good opportunity to make purchases they've been planning for a while. But with costs moving upwards, brands may find it difficult to maintain the same prices after Diwali. Consumers who have already made up their minds might benefit from buying now rather than waiting."
With festive discounts currently available across categories, consumers have an opportunity to make planned purchases before potential price revisions take effect.
