Tamannaah Bhatia
Bollywood actors have frequently been mocked on social media for undergoing cosmetic procedures. Tamannaah Bhatia recently spoke with Lallantop on the criticism that female performers undergo about cosmetic treatments, particularly in light of Shefali Jariwala's death.
Tamannaah shared how a small thing also turns into a point of discussion in the Industry, due to which actors often choose to keep quiet about everything. "People need to understand that it is very easy to talk about people who are in the media glare. Because you know about their lives. There are so many people whose lives you don't know anything about, and you will never know also. In baton ke baare me hum bas charcha kar sakte hai. Isse hum kahi pahuchte nahi hai. (We can only discuss these things. This will not get us anywhere). I don't know how conclusive they are."
Tamannaah further shared how the cosmetic procedures, botox and all aren't taboo anymore. "Gen Z youngsters are really open about it. They are open about the procedures they go through. Koi bhi judgment ka guzarna nahi chahta. Wo kuch kahenge, unpe ungliya uthengi. (No one likes to face judgment. If they say anything, fingers will be pointed at them.) People who appear in films face a great deal of criticism. Wo shayad comfy nahi hai, apne baare me share karne ke liye. (Perhaps they are not comfortable revealing their lives)," she explained.
Shefali Jariwala was discovered dead in her Mumbai home on the night of June 27. While initial reports suggested a heart attack, many sources later stated that she had received glutathione injections - popularly used in anti-ageing therapies - previous to her death, which could have contributed to it.
Tamannaah's next film is Vvan: Force of the Forest, which stars Sidharth Malhotra. Balaji Motion Pictures and The Viral Fever (TVF) created the film, which is set to be released in May of next year. She also appears in the upcoming Amazon Prime Video series Daring Partners, alongside Diana Penty, Nakuul Mehta, and Jaaved Jaaferi. The series is anticipated to premiere later this year.
