Buzz around Season 2 of India's Got Latent has intensified after a viral video featuring comedian Balraj Ghai sparked speculation about the show's possible return date. While there has been no official confirmation from the makers yet, fans are convinced that the much-talked-about comedy talent show may be making a comeback sooner than expected.
The latest rumours began after Samay Raina interacted with fans during an Instagram AMA session. One fan asked him when the second season of India's Got Latent would premiere. Responding to the question, Samay clarified that the show would not return immediately because he was currently taking a break. However, he hinted that planning for the new season would begin soon after his break ended.
Shortly after the AMA session, a video of Balraj Ghai Samay's close friend and collaborator surfaced online and quickly went viral across social media platforms. In the clip, Balraj seemingly hinted that Season 2 could begin on May 9, leading fans to believe that the release date may have accidentally been revealed before an official announcement. The video immediately triggered excitement among viewers, many of whom flooded social media with reactions and theories about the show's comeback.
This is not the first time Samay has hinted at reviving the controversial comedy show. During his stand-up special Still Alive earlier this year, he openly confirmed that India's Got Latent would return for a second season. He also mentioned that he wanted the new version of the show to be even more raw, unfiltered and entertaining than before.
For the unversed, India's Got Latent landed in controversy in February 2025 after comments made by guest Ranveer Allahbadia sparked outrage online. Multiple FIRs were reportedly filed against Samay Raina and others associated with the show, following which all episodes were removed from YouTube. The controversy led to widespread backlash and temporarily halted the show's growing popularity.
Despite the backlash, fan interest around the show has remained strong. Many viewers have continued demanding a second season, especially after Samay's recent return to the spotlight through his comedy special and television appearances. The comedian also recently appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show alongside Ranveer Allahbadia, where the duo joked about the controversy and their experience dealing with the fallout.
