'Peekay' to be shot in Jaipur instead of Ladakh

Rajkumar Hirani plays his cards close to his chest and so does his film Peekay's star Aamir Khan. The unit, which is currently shooting in New Delhi, was slated to follow it with a stint of filming in Ladakh. In a change of plan, the unit will move to Jaipur once they wrap up the shoot in the capital. Incidentally, Hirani had also shot his 2009 Aamir-starrer 3 Idiots in Ladakh.

Says a source, "The film's next schedule was planned for Ladakh but now they will head to Rajasthan. The objective of choosing Jaipur over Ladakh is convenience. It is easier to travel besides the weather conditions with winter fast approaching." Incidentally, in February this year, Aamir along with Sanjay Dutt had shot in Mandawa in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. Earlier a shoot schedule was also held in Belgium with Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput who also feature in it.

Adds the source, "Most of the cast has not been told about what the other actors' characters are. Everyone shoots in utmost secrecy." Recently, Aamir was spotted shooting at Dilli Haat in the capital wearing a yellow helmet, beads, handbands and maroon lipstick. A scene was also canned which had Aamir's character relieving himself on the road!
