Ad filmmaker Rajnish Lall's maiden production Sooper Se Ooper released last week and sank without a trace.

The comedy, directed by Shekhar Ghosh, featured Vir Das, Gulshan Grover, Kirti Kulhari and Deepak Dobriyal in the cast. Lall now blames the production house, Reliance Entertainment, for the failure of the film as he thinks it could have been marketed better.

Lall says, "I had a series of meetings with the production house and we shared several promotional ideas but nothing was done. Moreover, the film's show timings were odd and not many could see it."

He claims that marketing and distribution would have definitely made a big difference to the film. "When I showed the film to the Censor Board, they asked me that as there was no liplock in the film, how was I going to promote it? It was a concept film and I knew it had limited reach but I wished we could have marketed it properly."

Lall, however, says he doesn't hold any grudges against the production house and has decided to move on. He says, "I do not want to argue with anyone, but I am new to this industry and it was a learning experience for me. So I I just want to put forward my point of view for upcoming filmmakers."

The production house remained unavailable for comment.u00a0
