From a non-dancer, actor Aamir Ali has come a long way. After his first winning stint on a reality show with girlfriend Sanjeeda Sheikh, Aamir is back on stage, but this time in the opposition. "But I miss Sanjee when I dance alone," rues Aamir. He tells CS why he loves to dance:
Born fighter
I was a complete non dancer and it was an experience when I took part in the reality show. But today I can openly say that dancing has taught me never to give up on anything.
It has made me a fighter; it helped me overcome my handicap of two left feet! It was during these lessons that I learnt how to make my disadvantages my plus points.
Burning it
Instead of doing a cardio for an hour in the gym, I would rather spend half that time dancing. It's a great cardio exercise. Dancing not only keeps me fit, but also helps me lose weight. For me, dance is always a preferable form of exercise.
Money honey
Money is another reason why I like dancing. I started dancing in 2007 for a reality show and since then half my earnings come from dancing. And so it's my livelihood now!
Tere bin
Dance strengthened my bond with my girlfriend Sanjeeda. We were close earlier, but while shooting for the dance reality show, we spent almost four to five hours together. Meeting everyday and spending hours together helped us understand each other really well.
Changing characters
Dance to me is now the best form of relaxation; when I hit the dance floor, all my stress vanishes. Also, I find that I can express myself better through this medium. Moreover, dance breaks the monotony of all the things that I do. In television, one has to play the same character with very little choice, but when I dance, I can dance on different numbers and themes almost everyday and not get tired of it!
