Actor Aamir Khan's security has reportedly been enhanced after a threat message linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang surfaced online. According to reports, the Mumbai Police have stepped up vigilance around the actor's residence while also reviewing his security arrangements as a precautionary measure.

Aamir Khan's security tightened

According to Times Now, the threat was traced to a social media message in which an individual identifying himself as Aarzoo Bishnoi, claiming links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, targeted the actor. Following the emergence of the post, Maharashtra Minister of State for Home (Urban) Yogesh Ramdas Kadam reportedly confirmed that the police had taken suo motu cognisance of the matter and were assessing the situation. He added that Aamir's existing security cover would be reviewed and strengthened if required.

Reports further state that police presence around the actor's Mumbai residence has also been increased as part of precautionary measures while authorities continue their investigation into the source of the message.

What the message said

The post, which has since gone viral on social media, reportedly referenced Aamir Khan's recent marriage to Gauri Spratt and accused the actor of promoting "love jihad." The message claimed it was a "final warning" and threatened consequences, prompting law enforcement agencies to initiate an investigation.

According to IANS, Punjab Police have established the involvement of Aarzoo Bishnoi, who is said to have identified himself as a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in the post. Police have not yet publicly disclosed further details about the ongoing probe.

Neither Aamir Khan nor his team has publicly commented on the threat at the time of writing. Meanwhile, police are continuing their investigation, even as security around the actor remains heightened.

The development comes just weeks after Aamir tied the knot with Gauri Spratt in a private ceremony at his Mumbai residence in July 2026. The marriage marked a new chapter in the actor's personal life. Aamir was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children, Junaid and Ira Khan, before the couple separated in 2002. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005, and the two announced their separation in 2021 while continuing to co-parent their son and collaborate professionally.
