Alia Bhatt on Raha
Alia Bhatt is a doting mother to Raha, and the actress has time and again shown it. In a recent spiritual podcast, she opened up about her concerns for her little one. While balancing her career and motherhood, she recently spoke about Raha's competitive nature and shared that she aspires for her to pursue sports and become an athlete.
In an interview with Femina, Alia revealed that she hopes Raha might grow up to pursue sports. "I wish for her to actually be an athlete. She's so competitive and she's so athletic. She's only three, but she really jumps around like a bee in a bonnet," she said.
Reflecting on the women who have influenced her journey, Alia credited her mother, Soni Razdan. "My mother was the most impactful influence growing up, watching her raise me and my sister while keeping the fire of wanting to be an actor alive," she shared. She also spoke about her sister Shaheen Bhatt, praising her openness about mental health.
The actor also spoke about how becoming a mother has changed her approach to work. "I'm still very driven, but my ambition has become more centred. I'm saying no more than I'm saying yes because I want to be present," she shared in an earlier conversation.
For the uninitiated, Alia and Ranbir fell in love on the sets of their film Brahmastra Part One: Shiva. After dating for a few years, the couple tied the knot on April 14, 2022, in an intimate ceremony at their Mumbai home with close friends and family in attendance. They welcomed their daughter, Raha, in the same year on November 6, 2022. The couple prefer keeping her away from the media glare.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt will soon be seen in Love and War. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film will also star Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles. The film was officially announced in January 2024 and is set to arrive in cinemas during India's Republic Day weekend. It will release in theatres on January 21, 2027.
Apart from this, she has the YRF Spy Universe's female-led actioner Alpha in her kitty. The film is all set to hit screens on July 10 and also stars Sharvari, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles.
