Yash Raj Films has dropped a high-octane behind-the-scenes video from its upcoming film Alpha, featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. The BTS video gives the audience a glimpse into the intense preparation and action sequence that went into creating the first female-led film of the YRF Spy Universe. The making video shows Alia Bhatt and Sharvari perform some of the film's most challenging action sequences without body doubles, proving how much hard work and dedication have gone into bringing their characters to life.
In the video, director Shiv Rawail can be seen talking about how the two actresses underwent extensive training to execute the demanding action sequences. Speaking about Alia's commitment, Shiv shared, "Alia has put in much of the training into just this sequence. Hopefully, the audience are going to get to see a very new Alia Bhatt. When you see the film and you see the action sequences, one thing is that they've done all of this themselves. They are performing those guns at that breakneck rocket speed."
The video highlights the sheer scale and complexity of the action designed for the film. Action director Craig Macrae can be seen explaining, "Rotations on wires, explosions, gunfights, knife fights. It's going to be a great ride."
The video also showcases a small clip where Alia mistakenly hit a stuntman during the shoot and instantly regretted it. She apologised immediately by saying, âI am so sorry'
Besides Alia and Sharvari, Alpha also features Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in key roles. The film is touted as the first female-led instalment in the YRF Spy Universe, which includes films such as Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3 and War 2.
It shows Alia as Sita, a dangerous assassin, trained by her mentor Bobby Deol from a young age. The action thriller film is directed by Shiv Rawail, marking his feature film debut, and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. Alpha was initially scheduled to hit the big screens on December 25, and was later postponed to April 17, 2026. Now, the film is finally set to release on July 3, 2026.
