Anirudh Ravichander has reportedly exited Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film King, with the makers bringing Sachin-Jigar on board to compose the music and background score. The development comes amid reports of Anirudh's upcoming wedding with Kaviya Maran. Meanwhile, a glimpse of the film is reportedly set to be unveiled alongside Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana Part 1.
As per a report by Bollywood Hungama, Anirudh Ravichander has amicably parted ways with King. "Siddharth Anand and Shah Rukh Khan are determined to bring King to cinemas this Christmas without any delays. However, Anirudh has been juggling multiple commitments down South, making it difficult for him to devote the time and attention that a film of this scale demands. After a cordial discussion, both parties mutually decided to part ways." The source further revealed that the makers have now entrusted Sachin-Jigar with the responsibility of composing the film's music and background score. The report also stated, "Anirudh has given the Theme Track of King to Shah Rukh Khan as a mark of his respect for the megastar."
This report comes amid reports of Anirudh's wedding with Kaviya Maran. Unconfirmed reports claim the wedding is scheduled to be held in Greece on November 11. The wedding reception on November 21 is expected to be a star-studded affair, with invites extended to several political leaders as well as members of the film industry.
Amid the buzz, a video showcasing the couple's opulent wedding reception invitation has surfaced on social media. Featuring an ivory and powder-blue keepsake box, the invite has embossed stationery, intricate detailing and a vintage-style crest seal.
Shah Rukh Khan is set to return to the big screen after almost three years with his upcoming actioner King. Naturally, it is one of the most awaited films of 2026. If the latest reports are to be believed, fans could get to see a glimpse of the film in theatres ahead of its December 2026 release. A promo of the film will premiere with Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana Part 1 in India.
The film also stars an ensemble cast of Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Abhay Verma, Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Raghav Juyal, Jaideep Ahlawat and others in pivotal roles. King was announced last year on Shah Rukh Khan's birthday.
