Anshula Kapoor celebrates her first evening as a married woman in unique red couture

After tying the knot on July 6 in Mumbai, Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar hosted a lavish wedding reception for the industry on Tuesday. Many celebrities from the film industry joined the Kapoor family for the star-studded celebration. The newlywed bride, however, stole the show, exuding her bridal glow in a couture outfit.

Anshula took to her Instagram handle to share beautiful pictures of her look for the night, along with details of her outfit. The bride wore a Banarasi brocade sindoori red sari, paired with green jewellery. Along with the photos, Anshula shared the significance of her outfit in the caption, "For our cocktail, I knew I wanted to wear red. It is my first evening as a married woman, celebrating this new chapter and somehow sindoori red felt like the only colour that made sense. When Amit and I started talking about the outfit, one thought kept coming back to me - I wanted it to feel like a metaphor for who I am."

She further added, "Starting with a Banarasi brocade sari, amitaggarwalofficial deconstructed and reimagined it into a sculptural corseted silhouette, preserving the beauty of its original drape while transforming the pallu into a contemporary couture statement. It honoured tradition without feeling bound by it. And I think that's exactly what this entire wedding has been about. Holding on to where I come from, while wholeheartedly embracing everything that's ahead. Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar got engaged in October 2025, following which they celebrated their Gor Dhana ceremony with their family. The wedding celebrations officially started on June 21 with a Mata Ki Chowki hosted by the groom's family.

The festivities continued with a mehendi ceremony, which saw the Kapoor cousins, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor and others in attendance along with celebs like Shabana Azmi and Karisma Kapoor, among others in attendance. The mehendi ceremony was followed by the chooda and kaleere ceremonies, leading up to the wedding on July 6.
