Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were recently seen visiting a spiritual ashram in Vrindavan on Wednesday. However, their visit has sparked criticism among users online. Soon after the videos of the couple from their visit surfaced on social media, several netizens reacted to it and questioned their silence over the ongoing Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protests in New Delhi. Meanwhile, many celebrities have come forward to support the protests also condemning the violent action against students at the protest.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma visit Vrindavan

The photos and videos circulating online show Virat and Anushka dressed in simple attire as they visited the ashram barefoot. Anushka is seen wearing a white and blue outfit, while Virat sported a brown shirt and beige pants.

Notably, Virat and Anushka are regular visitors to the spiritual leader's ashram in Vrindavan; the timing of their latest visit has left fans disappointed. Several social media users slammed the power couple for remaining silent on the ongoing protest and violence against students. They called the duo out for not speaking out in support of the students. Some fans also said they expected Virat, who hails from Delhi, to address the issue publicly.

Netizens react

Sharing videos of their visit, one user on X wrote, "He does not have SPINE to talk about the youth & ongoing protest..Utter Shame." Another user wrote, "What about supporting the Jantar Mantar protests since he is from Delhi. A user slammed the couple using strong words saying, "You have achieved everything man, you were born in Delhi, people in this country worship you. Grow a spine and stand for the students."

"Ek baar apne ghr Delhi bhi jakar dekh students ka kya haal ho rha hai (Once you could have gone home to Delhi and ask how the students are doing)," another user said.

Similar sentiments were seen across other social media platforms including Instagram. A user commented, "Instead of doing what's right busy being selfish." Another suggested, "It would have been better if you went to Jantar Mantar from there." One user even wrote, "Inko sirf India me paisa hi dikhta he... Salo ko..... Protest ke bareme to bol nahi pate"
