The makers of Bandar unveiled the teaser of their highly anticipated film starring Bobby Deol, Sanya Malhotra, Raj B Shetty, Sapna Pabbi, Saba Azad, Riddhi Sen, Jitendra Joshi, Indrajeet, and Nagesh Bhonsle. While the film marks Bobby Deol's first-ever collaboration with director Anurag Kashyap, the actor has stepped into an unconventional role that too in an Anurag Kashyap movie, and it's an out-and-out magic.
The teaser of Bandar introduces a completely different vibe from what we have been seeing in today's cinema. With writing by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, the film promises an out-and-out crazy ride, with a stellar cast joining the madness. What makes it even more interesting is that, after Animal, Bobby Deol comes together with Anurag Kashyap, and seeing him in full disco-era splendour with a reimagined version of the beloved '70s number Come On Baby Dil Kisko Degi, it's an absolute cinema moment.
The teaser introduces Bobby as a rockstar who has a massive fan following. He is also on a dating app, which one of his matches expresses surprise. The teaser reveals that he has not focused on the age filter on the app and swipes right basis on just looks. We are then shown that Deol lands in legal trouble based on a complaint by a woman (possibly one of his dating app matches). He, however, says that the woman is lying. We are then shown how he lands in custody. The teaser also has appearances by Sapna Pabbi, Sanya Malhotra, Malayalam actor Indrajeet and Kannada star Raj B Shetty.
While the teaser sets the ground for outright madness, a sudden twist makes its way in, and what unfolds from there is a story far bigger and messier than it first appears. As the rhythm of the teaser shifts and grows more intense, the magic of a classic Anurag Kashyap directorial comes through, maintaining the pace while smoothly building intensity with every glimpse.
Bandar is written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, the acclaimed duo behind Paatal Lok, Kohra, and Udta Punjab. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, Produced by Nikhil Dwivedi's Saffron Magicworks and backed by Zee Studios, Bandar releases in cinemas worldwide on 5th June 2026.
