Emraan Hashmi's mother, Maherahh Hashmi, passed away yesterday at a Khar hospital after losing a long battle against cancer.

The actor was shooting for Raaz Reboot in Romania when he received the news and immediately took a flight back home.
Maherahh, a Roman Catholic, was the sister-in-law of Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt. She was in her early 60s.
Emraan's cousin, Alia Bhatt excused herself from the promotions of her next to be with the bereaved family.
