Beloved Bollywood couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are all set to embrace parenthood for the second time. On Sunday, Deepika made her pregnancy announcement with an adorable social media post. Amid this, it should be noted that the actress has two big films - Raaka and King - in her kitty. As per industry sources, she will continue shooting during her pregnancy.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, Deepika has already begun shooting for Raaka, Atlee's upcoming pan-India action spectacle headlined by Allu Arjun. "During her pregnancy, Deepika Padukone is shooting intense action sequences for Raaka." Needless to say, Deepika and the makers have taken all precautions while filming. Given that both King and Raaka have announced release dates and are on tight schedules, Deepika wants to stick to them. "She will continue to shoot for the film throughout her pregnancy," the source adds.
Talking about Raaka, the film's title was revealed on Allu Arjun's birthday. The collaboration between Allu Arjun and Atlee is one of the most awaited. The film is reported to be a mix of fantasy and action, with some suggestions of a science fiction angle. Janhvi Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna, and Ramya Krishnan are also part of the ensemble cast.
King, directed by Siddharth Anand (of Pathaan fame), is slated to release on December 24 in India. It marks Deepika's sixth film with Shah Rukh Khan. The film features an ensemble cast, including Rani Mukerji, Suhana Khan, Jackie Shroff, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Saurabh Shukla, Raghav Juyal, and many others.
On Akshaya Tritiya, Deepika announced her pregnancy with a cute picture of her daughter Dua holding a positive pregnancy test. The Cocktail actress simply captioned the post with two evil eye emojis. As soon as the post reached netizens, they began congratulating the mom-to-be in the comments section.
In 2015, during a romantic Maldives getaway, Ranveer proposed to Deepika. However, the couple kept their engagement under wraps for three years. They tied the knot on November 14 and 15, 2018, in a stunning ceremony at Lake Como. Deepika and Ranveer welcomed their first child, daughter Dua, on September 8, 2024.
