Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan finally walked the red carpet of Cannes 2026 amid much anticipation from her fans. After earlier rumours about the actress missing the annual event this year, her fans were eagerly waiting to see her make an appearance. At the event, Aishwarya's reunion with her Cannes bestie, Hollywood actor Eva Longoria, further excited fans.
The two divas who were dressed in their best met up on the red carpet, and the clips of the meeting have now left fans gushing. Eva seemed clearly excited to see Aishwarya, and didn't wait before hyping her. "That's my best friend! We have arrived," Eva exclaimed, as she rushed towards Aishwarya, who extended her hand to welcome the Hollywood star. The two then went in for a hug.
Soon, the comments section was filled with love for the two superstar friends. One user commented, "Eva Longoria + Aishwarya Rai friendship+ Timeless IT'S WORTH IT" While another comment read, "OMG aishwaryaraibachchan_arb is looking Breathtaking. Amid much anticipation, Aishwarya first stunned at the Cannes in a blue sculptural gown on Friday, designed by Amit Aggarwal, and was styled by Mohit Rai.
She also shared images of herself from the event and described her outfit on Instagram, saying she wore "Crystal Vein embroidery, where thousands of crystalline embellishments converge within sculptural lattice-like structures to create an interplay of luminosity, depth, and fluidity."
The outfit reportedly took more than "1500 hours of intricate craftsmanship, the gown is rendered in an abyss blue inspired by cosmic light and infinite space, with every surface engineered to refract and transform under movement and illumination."
For her second look, she wore a blush pink gown with a sheer cape by Sophie Couture. The outfit included floral embellishments and ruching detailing, adding drama to the overall look. She was accompanied by her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, who made her red carpet debut at L'Oreal Paris annual Lights on Women's Worth awards. Aaradhya wore a red gown with a matching sparkly cape. She paired it with loose, framing her face softly, as she posed alongside her mother on the red carpet.
