Actor Saif Ali Khan appears to have finally joined Instagram, and his first move on the platform has caught attention. The actor, who has largely stayed away from public social media, has made his debut with an account that follows just one person - his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan.
The Kartavya actor shared his first post with the caption, "Pataudi Library.. Judging books by their cover." The post has sparked curiosity among fans, who have long relied on Kareena and other family members for glimpses of the actor's life away from the screen.
Saif's Instagram debut comes as a surprise to fans familiar with his preference for keeping his personal life private. Unlike several Bollywood celebrities who regularly share updates about their films, holidays and families, the actor has generally maintained a low profile on public social media.
His first post references the Pataudi Library, connecting the update to his family heritage. Saif's decision to follow only Kareena has also drawn attention, with fans welcoming the actor and leaving messages in the comments.
Some users wrote "Welcome to Instagram" and "King is here and forever", while another joked that the "oldest member from Gen Z is finally on Insta".
Saif's entry into Instagram also recalls Kareena's own debut on the platform in March 2020. The actor joined Instagram around the time of her association with sportswear brand Puma, with her first posts tied to the campaign.
Kareena initially maintained a relatively limited social media presence but gradually began sharing family moments, professional updates and glimpses of her life with Saif and their children. Her Instagram has since become a popular window into the couple's personal and professional lives.
For now, the prospect of Saif joining Instagram has generated interest, especially because the account follows only Kareena. Whether he will share more updates or keep his presence limited remains to be seen.
On the work front, Saif continues to be associated with film and streaming projects. Saif was last seen in Haiwaan, and his upcoming projects include Devara: Part 2 and a Bengali-based biopic.
