Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan has returned home following a successful knee surgery at a Mumbai-based hospital. The Chandu Champion actor recently sustained a knee injury while performing an action sequence on the sets of one of his films, after which he had to undergo surgery. His team has shared an official statement.

His surgery was completed successfully, and he is now back home, resting and recovering. He will be back on set soon," his spokesperson said.
The injury comes as the actor was nearing the completion of Kabir Khan's sports drama. The incident reportedly took place during the final two days of filming, when the team was shooting several important action sequences. Aaryan was immediately taken to Fortis Raheja Hospital in Mahim for medical attention.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Kartik recently won the Best Actor in a Leading Role award at the 72nd National Film Awards, announced on July 18, 2026, for his portrayal of India's first Paralympic Gold Medalist Murlikant Petkar in the biographical sports drama Chandu Champion, directed by Kabir Khan.
Reacting to the achievement on Instagram, Aaryan wrote, "Still processing... Some moments are simply bigger than words, and this is one of them. A dream I've carried for years has finally come true. Forever humbled, forever grateful. Best Actor National Award #ChanduChampion."
The actor is also set to collaborate with Anurag Basu for his musical romantic drama alongside Sreeleela. The project was put on hold due to some issues. However, it recently resumed shooting a few days back in Mumbai, with Sreeleela joining the cast. The film, initially titled Aashiqui 3 and reportedly now called Tu Meri Zindagi Hai, marks Sreeleela's Bollywood debut.
Apart from this, Kartik is also a part of the fantasy creature drama Naagzilla. The shoot has officially wrapped up, with the final schedule concluding in Mumbai on July 26. Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the film is slated for a February 12, 2027, release.
